A week of poems #2: Eyes

The eyes have it,
If it is the truth.
Iris keeps no secrets,
Lashes break no back.

The truth as eyes have heard
Is plain to see through masterless pupils.
Dilating a moment
As the truth comes true.
The eyes have it
Beneath brow and above cheek.
The eye’s habit
Is to tear through the truth.
